Aluminum Can recycling save energy. Reduce, reuse, recycle are the prime elements of waste management. Recycle aluminum is taking an old used product that is considered useless, and reconstructing it into a novel item that can be used again. It is possible to recycle cans continually again. There is no limit to the quantity of times that aluminum can be recycled.

The old aluminum cans are smashed into tiny potato chip size pieces. Those pieces are then fused and melted with new aluminum. The aggregate with the new aluminum is fed to a machine which rolls the compound out and decreases the layer. The aluminum is coiled and sent to can manufacturers who transform the aluminum into cans and lids. It is then forwarded to the drink makers to be filled.

Did anyone calculate the energy used for the recycling process? Recycling takes about a ninth of the energy it takes to supply a brand spanking can from raw aluminum. 20 recycled cans takes the same amount of energy that one new can takes. The amount of energy saved can burn one hundred watt light bulb for 3.5 hours. Recycling 7 cans maintain that light bulb going for the whole day. Disposing an empty can is the same as wasting away half a can of gasoline.

Why Recycle Aluminum Cans?

The benefits of recycling cans are plenty. The biggest evident advantage is the conserving of natural resources. The energy savings discussed just now are also advantageous. Recycling reduces on pollution emitted in the manufacturing of new aluminum cans. The adventage recycling has for charitable bodies are commonly neglected. The recycling industry pays out over 800 million greenbacks for used empty aluminum cans. Money can be raised by recycling cans to pay for charity projects. Habitat for Humanity is one charity that funds lots of their housing projects from money raised from recycling aluminum cans. Cans for Habitat is a collaboration between the Aluminum Association and Habitat. This program has been around for ten years. Over six hundred Habitat personnel gather cans to raise cash to build homes.
